You’re halfway there!


Here’s what has changed this week

  • Baby’s skin is starting to thicken and develop the three layersFor a girl, her uterus, ovaries and vagina will start to develop
  • Epidermis
  • Middle dermis
  • Subcutis
  • Sweat glands are forming
  • Immunities are now being transferred from you to your baby

Your baby should be around your belly button at this point. Your doctor will now start to record the distance from your pelvic bone to the top of your baby’s head and should be able to hear the baby’s heartbeat using a stethoscope.

Don’t forget Daddy! Invite your partner to listen to your little nuggets heartbeat.

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. Which is the true good fish? Low in mercury and well cooked fish throughout your pregnancy can actually help you and your baby. Fish that is high in omega-3 is shown to help your baby’s brain develop. Limit your fish intake to 12 ounces per week.
